1. The Animal Resort

Tucked away in Singapore’s ulu areas is a gem of a farm named The Animal Resort. Having been around since 2002, the farm gives you a peek into rural Singapore with its Kampung themed setting. Visitors will be greeted by hens roaming around freely in the farm upon arrival. Besides hens, one can look forward to meeting Singapore’s most exotic birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, goose, horse, and peacock. Grubs for these critters are also up for grabs with every 3 packs at $2, with the exception of hay which is at $1 per pack. You’re ready for feeding and petting of the animals!

2. Bollywood Veggies

Did somebody say Bollywood? You bet we said it! Couple Ivy Singh and Lim Ho Seng are the owners of Bollywood Veggies and Poison Ivy Bistro. At Bollywood Veggies, you’ll learn about how some of your favourite foods are grown and the unknown facts of it. After going for the farm tour, head over to the Poison Ivy Bistro for local and fusion cuisines. They also offer cooking classes where adults and kids can learn about farm-to-table cuisine. 3. Hay Dairies

Hay Dairies is the only sustaining goat farm in Singapore to provide goat milk lovers with their daily dose. This farm boasts over 800 goats with different breeds which you can take a closer view. Purchase a pack of alfalfa hay at $5 and you can feed the goats as you go along. You can also participate in the milking session where it’s available only until 10:30am. The goat milk comes in 2 avours – original and chocolate – and priced from $2.50. They’re tasty, fresh, and nutritious!

4. Farmart Centre

When at Farmart, call out to Uncle William and he’ll bring you on a tour around the farm. This is also another farm which allows for your kids to feed and pet the animals. Meet up close with bull frogs, goats, tortoises, rabbits, birds, shes, and hamsters. If you’re feeling hungry, they have an eatery selling barbecue food to hawker tze char and halal satay. There’s also a retail section where you can purchase some of the freshest produce such as quail eggs, frozen exotic meats, live seafood, and more. It’s no wonder that people call this farm a place which has a little bit of everything.

5. Oh’ Farms

Touted as the pioneer and most successful hydroponics farm in Singapore is the Oh’ Farms. It started off with planting vegetables then later moved on to herbs and spices. Unlike most farms, Oh’ Farms actually has a buttery- lodge which is a buttery-friendly ight cage home to butteries. This is where visitors are educated on the conservation of butteries and the beauty of Singapore’s buttery fauna. The Oh’ Farms also uses its own butteries to pollinate their owers. How cool!
