If you’re a fan of pastries and have an affinity for wife biscuits that aren’t overly sweet, then Ming Ang is the bakery for you. Featuring mouthwatering treats such as heong peah (malt-filling fragrance pastry), char siew buns (barbecue chicken pastry), tausa peah (mung bean biscuit) plus egg tarts and kaya puffs – this place has got it all!

Located right beside Yong He, Restoran Yit Foh offers an authentic Chinese experience with their delicious wanton noodle. Their barbecue pork is prepped perfectly for your enjoyment – lean meat and succulent juices make every bite unforgettable! The homemade egg noodles are wonderfully springy, while the fried crispy wantons come topped with a delectable spicy chili. Sitting on the same street as Yong He Kuey Teow Soup and Yit Foh Wanton Noodle, Tiang Xiang Fish Ball is situated a few doors down. Their specialty dish features homemade fish balls crafted with Pacific saury (秋刀鱼). Taste this distinct flavor that has tantalized locals and visitors alike!
At this restaurant, you can select from a wide array of delectable noodle dishes – soup or dry with laksa toppings. Each dish is crafted using freshly-made fish balls as the main ingredient; additional components may vary depending on your order. The taste and texture of these morsels are out of this world: they’re firm yet spongy in consistency! If you want to take some home, raw fish balls are also available for purchase!

Meng Meng Roasted Duck is a popular eatery in KSL, Johor Bahru. This family-style joint has been around since 1980 and offers some of the best roasted duck dishes in town. Whether you’re dining solo or with friends, expect to be treated like family when you walk through their doors!
Their signature dish is their roasted duck – marinated in secret spices, then roasted to perfection over a charcoal fire. Served with crispy golden skin and tender meat, this dish is sure to delight your taste buds. One of my favourite and a reliable restaurant for simple Chinese food in JB. My family loves the tang kwai roast duck, deep fried kembong fish, soup (variety) and Yong tau Foo and special porridge. Some of the food are sold out quite quickly, so do head over early during peak hours especially on the weekends. I find the pricing reasonable and.portion adequate. Service is friendly and efficient. Grandma Ong’s is a renowned noodle shop located in Johor Bahru that has gained notoriety for its scrumptious Mee Hoon Kueh (hand-pulled noodle soup). Delectable minced meat and marinated mushrooms accompany the noodles, as do small servings of katuk, sambal chilli and fried onion.
